Improve Workability And Strength With Sodium Gluconate Concrete Retarder Concrete Chemical Admixtures
In construction applications, sodium gluconate is primarily used as a concrete admixture. It can be added to concrete to help reduce the water demand, increase the fluidity of concrete, and improve workability. Sodium gluconate can also help minimise segregation, shrinkage, and bleeding in concrete mixes.
Sodium gluconate improved the compressive strength at 3 and 28 days, delayed cement setting and increased the fluidity of the Portland cement mortar. Less than 0.03% sodium gluconate promoted the formation of ettringite (AFt) at early age.
Application
It can be used as high efficiency chelating agent, steel surface cleaningagent, glass bottle cleaning agent, electroplating industry aluminumoxide coloring in construction, textile printing and metal surfacetreatment and water treatment industries. It is used as highefficiencyretarder and high efficiency water reducer in concrete industry.
