Wetting And Dispersion Agent PT550 Wetting/Viscosity Reduction/Dispersion For Construction Concrete Mortar Plaster
A wetting agent is a surface-active molecule used to reduce the surface tension of water. The high surface tension of water is problematic in many applications where spreading and penetration of water is required. These include for example paints and other coating formulations, detergents, pesticides, and others.
Wetting agents are surface-active substances and improve the wetting of solids. Dispersing agents prevent particles flocculating by various mechanisms (electrostatic effects, steric effects). Wetting and dispersing additives unite both mechanisms of action in one product, i.e. they are both wetting and stabilizing.
PT500 is a powdered non-ionic surfactant with efficient substrate wetting, leveling, flowing, viscosity reducing and dispersing capabilities. The unique chemical structure of PT500 allows it to quickly wet solid surfaces in cement-based systems, easily disperse and improve the workability of the entire system.
