Gypsum board

Gypsum board is a board-shaped man-made building material. It is made by adding additives to calcium sulfate (gypsum) and extruding it into a plate shape, then calcining and polishing it. It can be used to build interior walls or ceilings. Fiber (usually paper or glass fiber), plasticizers, foaming agents and some additives to prevent mold are added to the gypsum powder, which will increase the flame retardant properties and reduce water absorption.
